Join us every Wednesday this October for Scrabble Nights at 6pm. Whether you are new to the game or eager to meet other Scrabble enthusiasts, this event is free and open to the public. All we ask is that you RSVP so we can prepare enough tables, chairs, and game boards.
Meet The Scrabble Instructor:
Aaron McGuffin is a local pediatrician and medical educator at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with a passion for words and board games. He is a self-described nerd, who ran Scrabble Club 767 in Huntington, West Virginia and played competitive Scrabble tournaments for 8 years. He is excited to work with New Chapter Bookstore to share his love for the game of Scrabble with locals who are ready to take their game to the next level and earn living room bragging rights for years to come.
During the workshops players will learn:
Basic Scrabble rules
Basic Scrabble strategies
What a Scrabble BINGO is and the common letters used to play all 7 letters
The 107 acceptable 2 letter and 1065 acceptable 3 letter words
