In-Store Discounts

Show your teacher identification at checkout and receive 10% off your entire purchase.

Purchase Orders

Purchase orders will receive the teacher discount (10%) and qualify as tax exempt with proper paperwork.

Classroom Sets

Place an order of 15 or more books for the classroom and receive an additional 5% discount at checkout.

Bookfairs

We are happy to provide a curated book selection and point of sale system to your school for a seven day period. At the conclusion of the event, all items will be returned to A New Chapter and the proceeds split 50 (school / 50 (bookstore). Scheduling is done a first come, first serve basis.

The following agreement and guidelines will ensure an effective partnership. 

A New Chapter will provide you with:

  • Books and educational products

  • Gift items and stationery (optional)

  • Portable point of sale system

  • A dedicated support person

The school agrees to the following:

  • Store and display all merchandise, cash, checks, and credit card sales information in a locked and secure location when not in use or supervised.

  • Sell products at the listed price designated by A New Chapter.

  • Collect sales tax required by state law.

    • School Purchase: Tax exemption status applies to purchases made by the school with school funds for its own use. If the school buys books or 

    • Sales To Public: Any retail purchases made by students, parents, or others at the book fair are subject to state and local taxes. The school is responsible for collecting this tax even though it is a tax exempt entity. 

  • Comply with the following credit card security protocols:

    • Do not share or distribute credit card data taken on behalf of A New Chapter (ex: credit card numbers, expiration dates, security codes, etc.).

    • Transactions made on the supplied point of sale system will only be used for transactions during the designated book fair.

    • If a credit card is found please call the toll free number on the back of the credit card, report the card as lost, and request for further directions from the credit card company.

    • Point person of the book fair is responsible for informing all volunteers of this credit card agreement.

  • Repack all unsold products, supplies, and displays in the original boxes.

All unsold books, point of sale system, and money should be returned to A New Chapter Bookstore within one week following the conclusion of the event. At that time, A New Chapter will run reports to determine how many items were sold and the proceeds will be split 50 (bookstore) / 50 (school). If you are unable to return all items to A New Chapter Bookstore within a week following the conclusion of your book fair, please email shaye@newchapterbookswv.com or call 681-318-3051. An unplanned late return could impact the future of a scheduled book fair. 

Any item(s) returned to A New Chapter Bookstore in damaged condition will be assessed and an invoice sent to the school for those items at cost value.

We are now affiliated with Bookshop.org, which means you can be too! In addition to personal shopping you can also set up a registry for your classroom.
